Faze Wave began in 2014 when high school friends Matthew Flynn and Zachary Stickler started jamming in Stickler’s grandma’s living room. Their love for surfing, skating, and guitars influenced their sloppy songs as they grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. The duet wasted no time inviting bassist Everett Crunden and drummer Holden Hackney to the practice space.
After stumbling upon living room and garage gigs, the quartet decided to make it official. Starting with their first official shows in 2015 under the name Faze Wave, the band quickly gained an audience that craved a new side to the Jacksonville scene. With a mixed group of crowd surfers, mosh-pitters, and closed-eyes dancers, Faze Wave’s audience grew beyond the reach of their hometown.
Two albums and three EP’s later, the band has toured all over the East Coast of the US. Opening for names such as Grouplove, Hockey Dad, Broncho, The Frights, and Cherub, Faze Wave continues to travel and make the music that they love. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
