THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR

MAGI

THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR
Saturday, June 06
Doors: 8 pm // Show: 9 pm

Discovered by Grammy nominated Disturbed bassist John Moyer, Las Vegas dark rockers The Nocturnal Affair are an alternative/dark rock project headed by singer/songwriter Brendan Shane.   The band’s crushing and melancholic musical style is an ode to darker alternative music torchbearers like Type O Negative, HIM, David Bowie, Gary Numan, and Nine Inch Nails.

Nocturnal has toured extensively throughout the US, UK, and Europe, getting in their 10,000 hours performing alongside a wide array of artists including Fozzy, Wednesday 13, Max Cavalera’s NAILBOMB, Drowning Pool, HELLYEAH, Asking Alexandria, and Pop Evil.  While also being accessible enough to share the stage with notable mainstream acts like 3 Doors Down, Black Stone Cherry and Alien Ant Farm.

In the Fall of 2024, the band released their single “Cross Me Out”, co-written by active-rock songwriting heavyweight Johnny Andrews (Ice Nine Kills, Starset, The Funeral Portrait, Motionless In White).  The single reached Top 30 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Radio chart, #3 on the SMR Radio Rock chart and racked up 3 MIL views to date on YouTube.  Their follow up singles ‘Benefit of Doubt’ and a heavy rock take on Haddaway’s 1993 pop guilty pleasure ‘What Is Love”, have clocked another combined 7 million views on Youtube and counting.  These head-turning numbers and high show energy has many plaudits claiming ‘they don’t make ‘em like that anymore…until now!’

MAGI:

Orlando rock outfit Magi originally emerged as the brainchild of vocalist Gennaro Russo and
guitarist Luis Perez, who crossed paths at university and immediately connected over an
impromptu jam session. Vowing to elevate their musical passions and start a band together, the
two quickly joined forces with bassist Jacob Skates and set to work refining their ideas. It wasn’t
long before the trio became a four-piece following a serendipitous encounter with drummer
Matthew DiPietro.
Building on the groundwork laid by iconic bands from Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath to Cream,
The Who, Pink Floyd and beyond with a modern, atmospheric twist, Magi’s thunderous,
atmospheric blend of soaring vocals, blistering guitar riffs, and rhythm-infused beats is equally as
electric on stage as in the studio — and exists as proof that rock n’roll is not only very much still
alive, but continuing to evolve as a genre in its own right. Now with 50k+ Spotify followers,
millions of households reached through MTV placements, a slew of dynamic, high-energy
performances under their belt, both as a solo act and alongside acts like Zebra, Ace Monroe,
Cinema Stereo, and Seven Year Witched, Magi’s momentum is at an all-time high as they prepare
for what’s shaping up to be a breakout year, with more music and live gigs set to be announced in
due time — much to the delight of their diverse and growing fanbase
